Committee on International Relations and Tourism Development develops
international and external economic relations, as well as local
tourism politics of the Arkhangelsk Region – one of 88 constituent
entities of Russian Federation. It coordinates and supports the
international activity of different institutions, including state
organizations, municipal bodies and NGOs, and promotes the objective
image of Arkhangelsk Region as a reliable partner in the North-West
of Russia. It is a responsible body for coordination of host tourism
initiatives, primarily the development of sustainable tourism
in the area by assisting in tourist activity on the territory
of local communities.
The Committee on International Relations and Tourism Development
in the implementation of SMART project is supporting organization,
which combines the ongoing project with future activity through
Micro/Small Tacis project in cooperation with Kemi-Tornio Polytechnic,
Finland.
