Sustainable Arctic Tourism Association founded

Sustainable Arctic Tourism Association (SATA) was
established in the end of 2005
-
to provide a forum for
international sustainable arctic tourism operators and other
stakeholders to share their expertise and opinions and to
uphold the highest standards;
-
to foster cooperation among its
members;
-
to own and develop the resources
created during the Sustainable Model for Arctic Regional
Tourism project (SMART), and to promote sustainable tourism
practises in the Arctic.
In short, SATA aims to
become the platform for networking and promotion of
sustainable tourism within and beyond the arctic region.
What is
in it for you?
SATA is in an early stage
at the moment, and member benefits are under development.
What we can offer is to become part of an international
group of like-minded people representing tourism businesses,
NGOs, government agencies and dedicated individuals.
